Manuela Moscoso
Curator

Her practice is situated at the intersection between research, critical thinking, and contemporary artistic production. Her career has been established on the international stage through projects that address the most pressing cultural and social debates of our time.
She currently serves as the inaugural Executive and Artistic Director of CARA (Center for Art, Research and Alliances) in New York and was the Chief Curator of the 2025 Bienal de las Amazonias (Brazil). Her previous roles include curating the 2021 Liverpool Biennial (England), serving as Senior Curator at Museo Tamayo (Mexico), Adjunct Curator of the 2014 Cuenca Biennial (Ecuador), and Co-Director of CAPACETE (Brazil).
Under her curatorial direction, the dialogue between the Tawna Collective and Oscar Santillán positions the Pavilion of Ecuador as a necessary intervention within the Biennale regarding ways of knowing and experiencing the world: a definitive stance that inscribes the country within global contemporary conversations.
